Note: The MC2000 Interface application will only operate with the 
MC2000 connected.  At start up, the MC2000 Interface application scans 
the USB ports for the MC2000 NTP server.  If the MC2000 is not found, 
the software application will terminate.



Introduction
------------

The MC2000 utilities software is a simple application to enable quick 
and easy setup of a Windows PC for connection to the MC2000 Time Server 
via USB.  The MC2000 Utilities software incorporates USB drivers for a 
Windows PC and the MC2000 Interface application.

The MC2000 Utilities software is supplied on a CD-ROM with the MC2000.  
The CD-ROM version includes a pdf copy of the MC2000 user manual, and a 
copy of Adobe Reader.  The MC2000 Utilities software available from the 
World Time Solutions website does not include a copy of the user manual 
or Adobe Reader.  These are available as separate downloads on the 
MC2000 downloads page:

The following installation guidelines refer to the MC2000 Utilities 
version available from the World Time Solutions website.  For 
information on installing the MC2000 Utilities software from the CD-ROM, 
please refer to section 5.2 of the MC2000 user manual.



Downloading & Installing the MC2000 Utilities (web release) software

Note: The MC2000 Utilities software requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 
version 2.0 (or newer).  If this is not installed, the following 
procedure will not complete.  If required, the .NET framework can be 
downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com


1) Right click the MC2000 utilities link and select 'Save link as...'.

2) Select a directory on your computer.

3) Once the file has downloaded, navigate to the file, right click the file
and select 'Extract All...'.

4) Follow the instructions on screen to extract the zip file to a directory.

5) Navigate to the new directory and run MC2000_Utilities.exe. (If an 'Open 
File - Security Warning' appears, select 'Run' to continue installation.)

6) In the MC2000 Utilities window, click 'Install USB Drivers'.

7) Once the USB drivers have been installed, connect the MC2000 to the PC 
using the supplied USB cable.

8) Click 'Install MC2000 Interface Software'.
